FSHN 1366 Practicum (or Field Experience) — Fashion Merchandising<\/strong><\/summary>\n

Practical, general workplace training supported by an individualized learning plan developed by the employer, college, and student.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FSHN 2301 Fashion Promotion<\/strong><\/summary>\n

A survey of fashion direction, publicity, and fashion event coordination.  Emphasis on fashion event production.

FSHN 2303 Fashion Buying<\/strong><\/summary>\n

Fundamentals of fashion buying with instruction in planning, pricing, and purchasing retail fashion inventories. Identification of wholesale merchandise resources. Instruction in calculating retail math functions of buying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FSHN 2309 Fashion Image<\/strong><\/summary>\n

Instruction in the techniques used to analyze the fashion image of individual clients. Emphasis on personal coloring, body types, and wardrobe coordination. Study of fashion image consultant business practices and job qualifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FSHN 2320 Visual Merchandising<\/strong><\/summary>\n

Skill development in the creation of showroom or retail store window\/interior displays that sell merchandise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FSHD 1308 Fashion Trends<\/strong><\/summary>\n

A study of the effects of eastern and western cultures on the development of fashion.  Examination of the impact of social, psychological, economic, demographic, and lifestyle trends on fashion trends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FSHD 1311 Fashion History<\/strong><\/summary>\n

Survey of the evolution of fashion change, traced through garment development from ancient times to present day.  A study of customs and silhouettes of each historical period and their modern day adaptations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
