Workforce Education Advisory Committees at Austin Community College are groups of business or industry representatives who advise the college on matters of curriculum, instructor qualifications, equipment and facility requirements to assure that graduates have the skills needed for employment.

They are one of the principal means of ensuring meaningful business and industry participation creation and revision. Their broad purposes are to help college personnel document the need for a workforce education program, and to ensure that the program has both adequate resources and a well-designed curriculum to provide students with the skills, knowledge, and behaviors necessary to successfully meet the needs of business and industry. Each committee focuses on a specific workforce education program or cluster closely related programs.
